Factory Cat brand products are built by the R.P.S. Corporation incorporated in Wisconsin in 1986. Factory Cat manufactures battery floor scrubbers, battery floor sweepers and battery sweeper / scrubber combination floor machines for the industrial sector. Its principals have been in the industrial floor cleaning machine business since 1980.

The battery powered floor scrubber and floor sweeper models we manufacture fit a niche in the industrial cleaning equipment industry that we pretty much invented: battery powered, high-performance, compact floor sweepers and floor scrubbers for industry. We make fewer models than most of the other industrial floor cleaning equipment firms we compete with, so we can put more effort into each of ours. Our battery floor sweepers and battery floor scrubbers continue to be exceptionally well received, and are the reason we can claim to be the fastest growing industrial floor equipment manufacturer in this business.

At present, Factory Cat manufactures some 40 models, including walk-behind sweeper and scrubber models and rider sweeper and rider scrubber models. three ranges each of walk-behind and rider scrubbers, and combination units that both sweep and scrub simultaneously. Historically, each of our models has come to enjoy a position of No. 1 or No. 2 in most of the markets we serve within two years of introduction to the marketplace.

Factory Cat machines are all manufactured in Wisconsin, USA. They are sold through some 140 North American Factory Cat dealer locations. Factory Cat machines are also sold across much of Europe, in Australia, and in parts of Asia and Latin America.

The MINIMAG is available with a large battery package and 17-gallon tanks, which reduce costly down time. There are multiple scrub paths available to better match your needs, in both disk and cylindrical styles.

The “Disk” machines offer nearly 35% more power than other machines. The deck is protected by steel guards and large polyurethane rollers keep the unit from marking walls. Brushes are driven by powerful motors, and are gimbal-mounted, to improve cleaning on uneven floors.

The “Cylindrical” machines have the added benefit of sweeping up debris while scrubbing. This may eliminate the need to presweep an area, increasing productivity.

Brush pressure is automatically maintained at one of five settings, on traction units, while the LCD provides diagnostics and hour meters, covering “transport”, “scrubbing” and “key-on”. The LCD also gives the operator a real-time view of systems running, battery level and scrubbing pressure. If the batteries become too discharged, the unit automatically shuts down systems to allow the machine to return to the charge station. The heavy steel construction, oversized motors, extra thick polyurethane tanks and stainless steel fasteners provide a solid foundation. The MINIMAG has a powerful, sealed transaxle for climbing steep ramps and the four point stance allow it to remain stable over rough terrain.

With two specialized cleaning systems and five deck sizes to choose from, FACTORYCATS XRs offer the results and capacity required to clean your unique application.

The “Disk” XRs offer gimbaled brush drive and 45% more scrubbing power than competitive brands. The “Cylindrical” units reduce or eliminate dust mopping, by sweeping and scrubbing in a single pass.

The scrub decks include adjustable wipers and curtains, for unmatched water control. All components are made of heavy gauge steel for durability and accessibility is designed in to simplify service work.

The operator sits in a spring-suspension, fully adjustable, mid-back chair. The adjustable steering column, armrests, and front guard further enhance operator comfort and safety. With a powerful drive motor, these machines can climb steep ramps, and come standard with heavy duty tires. Features include an automatic parking brake, and reduction of transport speed while scrubbing or backing up.

Our Central Command II system includes an LCD readout, on-board diagnostics, and three hour meters, simplifying preventive maintenance intervals. When the batteries discharge, the machine automatically shuts down all systems except “transport” to allow you to return to the charge station or any standard 20A outlet with the optional onboard charger.

These machines are all-steel, and use oversized components throughout. At your in-plant inspection, you’ll see top quality componentry, hefty fabrications, oversized motors, and nearly 100% stainless steel fasteners.

Meanwhile, the second stage vacuums up the dust and traps it in a polypropylene felt “baghouse” filter. FactoryCats industrial floor sweepers can pick up whole bags of cement at a time without leaving a trace of dust behind. The filter is cleaned by an on-board mechanism, and in most cases will last the life of the machine.
